Customer Qualifications

Customers must be at least 25 years old; possess a valid driver's license (international is fine); provide proof of insurance coverage in writing, or agree to our CCDW; and present a major credit card in their own name, for payment of the rental charges. We cannot accept a credit card from a third party; over the phone; or from a photocopy.

Cancellation Policy

Your reservation deposit of $50 is nonrefundable, although certain considerations can allow for this to be refunded at the business’ discretion. You can move your deposit to another date if that date is available.

Towing Requirements

All tow vehicles must meet the following:

1. Tow rating must exceed the dry weight of the unit + 1000lbs

2. Must have a receiver hitch

3. Must have a brake controller*.

*Just because your vehicle has a tow package does not mean that a brake controller is in your vehicle. We can install one for around $165 or you can rent one for $30 (if available).

Deposits

There is a $50 Reservation Down Payment which holds your date & unit and goes towards your final payment. Previously, you would pay online when you booked. We recently changed credit card processing companies and now we will reach out to you after your booking to collect this deposit to fully reserve your rental.

Payments

We accept debit/credit cards, as well as checks and cash.

Vehicle Return

Drop off Time: Please return the unit on the scheduled day of return by 3:00pm. Utilize the drop box for returns made on Saturday & Sunday. Charges for late RV return or unauthorized extension of the rental period: $75 + a full day of rent. The regular rental rates apply only with proper authorization through Ramsey's RV Rental prior to a rental extension.

The clients are advised to return the RV with the interior cleaned and holding tanks dumped to avoid any cleaning/dumping charges.

Vehicle Substitution

If for any reason the booked RV should not be available, Ramsey's RV Rental reserves the right to substitute a higher-rated RV at no additional cost. Should a lower-rated RV be substituted, the liability is limited to the refund of the gross rate difference of the two vehicles.

Ramsey's RV Rental reserves the right to cancel the reservation at anytime due to Acts of God; extreme unsafe weather conditions; if it is determined that the vehicle will be used in unsafe conditions or for illegal purposes; or if the Customer arrives at the time of departure in a condition that is determined by Ramsey's RV Rental or its employees, that the customer cannot safely operate operate the vehicle.

Toll Charges

The client is responsible for all toll charges. If Ramsey’s RV Rental gets a bill for a toll violation, we will attempt to contact you as you will need to take care of the transaction. If you do not respond, we will pay the toll and then charge your card on file for the balance due, plus a 5% admin fee.

No Refunds for Unused Portion

No refund will be given in the following cases:
Early return of rental vehicle or Client arrives late to pick up the RV or does not show up at all.

Pets

This is limited to dogs only, 2 dogs maximum. Please make us aware that you are bringing your dogs.  If evidence of a pet is found and it was NOT disclosed at the time of reservation, you could be subject to a $50 per night fee for the entire period of your rental if excessive ware, excessive cleaning, or damage is seen.

Smoking

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN ANY RV. A MINIMUM FEE OF $250 FOR CLEANING/DEODORIZING.. This includes but is not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and camp fire smoke.

Roof Access

No one is allowed on the roof of any Ramsey's RV Rental trailer. Ladders are for Ramsey's RV Rental personnel to access the roof to perform service. Customers are responsible for all damage and cleaning.

In the Event of an Accident

First contact local emergency services if medical attention is needed. The customer must obtain a local police report as provided by the attending police officer investigating the accident. An accident report form is supplied to the customer and is located in the RV along with the registration and insurance papers.

Ramsey's RV Rental must be notified as soon as possible. A full-written report along with the other party's name, address, phone number, insurance information and driver's license number on the supplied accident report form will be required upon return of the RV. Damage and accident scene pictures should be taken and provided if at all possible.

All documents relating to the accident must include a police report number or identifying number. Insurance coverage may be void if the above instructions are not allowed.

Responsibility of Damage and Loss

1. You are responsible for all damage to vehicle (regardless of fault).

2. Loss of use of the vehicle while it is being repaired.

3. Diminution of the vehicle's value caused by damage to it or repair of it (Not covered by insurance). The diminution in value charge is at least 2% of the value of the motor home.

4. All damage or loss caused by blowout, punctures or other road damage, unless the damage is caused that is collision on comprehensive.

5. Missing equipment.

6. Our administrative fees connected with any damage claims, regardless whether you are at fault or not. Ranges from $0 - $250 based on amount of damage.

7. Theft and Vandalism.

8. You must report all accidents and/or damage within 6 hours of the occurrence. You agree to pay these charges from credit sources listed in your contract, and assume all responsibility to submit accident reports and claims to the proper authorities.

Damage Waiver

If you purchase CDW, we waive our right to collect from you a portion of physical damage to the Vehicle. We will not waive this right if damage to the vehicle: (a) is caused by anyone who is not an Authorized Driver; (b) is caused by a Vehicle driver under the influence of any drug or alcohol; (c) is caused by anyone who obtained use of the Vehicle or extended the rental period by giving us false, fraudulent or misleading information; (d) occurs while the Vehicle is used during the commission of any crime, other than a minor traffic violation; (e) occurs while carrying persons or property for hire, while pushing or towing anything, during any race, speed test or contest, or while teaching anyone to drive; (f) results from carrying dangerous or hazardous items or illegal material; (g) results from use of the Vehicle outside the United States or Canada, or outside any geographic limitations stated elsewhere in this agreement; (g) is caused by driving on unpaved roads; (h) occurs while transporting more persons than the Vehicle has seat belts, while carrying persons outside the passenger compartment, or while transporting children without approved child safety seats as required by law; (i) occurs when the odometer has been tampered with or disconnected; (j) occurs when the Vehicle's fluid levels are low, or it is otherwise reasonable to expect you to know that further operation would damage the Vehicle; (k) is caused by inadequately secured cargo; (l) is caused, by anyone who sits, lies or stands on the roof of the vehicle; (n) results from your willful, wanton or reckless act or misconduct; and, (m) occurs and you fail to notify us and the police of any accident or vandalism causing damage to the Vehicle. The CDW limit applies to Each accident separately not cumulatively.

Places Customers Cannot Take Our Vehicles

Our vehicles are not allowed in Mexico, Alaska, or Canada. Restrictions on Death Valley, CA between May 1 and October 1 of any year; and the five (5) boroughs that make up New York City, NY. (Except to drive through on I-95) Violations void CDW. Please do not put yourself at risk for liability or civil actions.

Ramsey's RV Rental will hold the customer fully responsible for accidents or mechanical breakdowns occurring in a travel restricted area. Damage Waiver will be void in case of violation.

Privacy Policy

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Security Policy

Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
